On 2nd August in China, our CEO Zhen Xiao had the honour of meeting in person and for the first time the Swiss Consul General in Shanghai, Sacha Bachmann, who took over from Olivier ZEHNDER in the summer of 2022. Consul General Bachmann was previously posted to Chicago, Hong Kong, Jakarta and Berne.

🤝First and foremost, it was an opportunity to thank him in due form for having pursued the numerous collaborations in the economic field between the Swiss Centers and his Consulate. Consul General Bachmann expressed his appreciation of Swiss Centers’ active role in facilitating business exchanges and supporting Swiss companies in China.

The meeting was also an opportunity to invite Ambassador Juerg Burri and him to visit our booth at China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2023, for which we are the official Swiss partner, and to attend the Sino-Swiss Business Reception we are organizing on the sidelines.

During the evening, they will have the opportunity to meet the Swiss delegation we will be taking from Shanghai to Shenzhen via Hangzhou to discover the innovation capabilities of companies based in China.
