Event report: Swiss Business in China Survey at Embassy of Switzerland in China

On 28th October, at the Residence of Swiss Ambassador Juerg Burri, more than 50 Swiss business representatives gathered to hear the recently published results of the ย “๐’๐ฐ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ง๐š ๐’๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฏ๐ž๐ฒ.”

As the key person writing the survey report, Nicolas Musy, delegate of the Board of Swiss Centers and Founder of China Integrated, introduced the Results of the Swiss Business in China Survey: ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐Ÿ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ค๐ž๐ฒ ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ฌ, ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ง๐š’๐ฌ ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐œ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐’๐ฐ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐›๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ.

Lars L. Hartmann Eckerlein – Vice president of Swisscham, General Manager of ABBย China expressed his opinions and comments on several aspects, including the ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐œ ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ง, ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ž๐ซ๐œ๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, but also theย ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ง๐ž๐ฐ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ.

Adam Dunnett – Secretary General of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, shared on the challenges and opportunities faced by European companies investing in China. He stated that China remains one of their top priority markets, but geopolitical tensions pose challenges to corporate investment. Opportunities in the fields of ๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐œ ๐ฏ๐ž๐ก๐ข๐œ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ (๐„๐•๐ฌ), ๐š๐ž๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ž, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฆ๐ข๐œ๐จ๐ง๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐š๐›๐ฎ๐ง๐๐š๐ง๐ญ, presenting exciting prospects for growth and innovation. Furthermore, there are also favorable opportunities for M&A in these sectors.

As the host, Juerg Burri thanked all the Swiss business community for their contribution, summarized the business and cultural activities of this year, and offered an outlook on the events commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland next year.
