Shanghai (June 11, 2026) – Swiss Centers, the leading Sino-Swiss public-private partnership helping Swiss companies establish, grow, and innovate in China, is showcasing Swiss innovation at the Swiss Pavilion during the 12th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF), taking place from June 11-13, 2026, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

In recognition of its world-class innovation ecosystem, Lausanne has been invited as the International Guest City of Honor at CSITF 2026. The Municipal Councilor and Vice Mayor of Lausanne, Mr. Pierre-Antoine Hildbrand, leads a Swiss delegation attending the fair. During the event, the delegation holds dialogues with Shanghai municipal authorities, innovation parks and local enterprises to identify potential areas for bilateral collaboration.

It is worth noting that the Canton of Vaud carried out a successful economic mission to China back in June 2025, led by State Councilor Isabelle Moret, with 25 entrepreneurs and corporate executives from the region. This visit deepened mutual understanding between the two sides, unlocked new channels for joint cooperation, and ultimately laid the groundwork for Lausanne’s landmark designation as this year’s Guest City of Honor at CSITF 2026.

Together with the City of Lausanne and Innovaud, Swiss Centers has curated the Swiss Pavilion, bringing together 18 leading Swiss organizations and companies to showcase Switzerland’s strengths in life sciences, artificial intelligence, precision engineering, advanced manufacturing, sustainability, and innovation services. Building on previous editions that welcomed more than 50,000 visitors and nearly 1,000 exhibitors, CSITF has established itself as one of China’s premier platforms for international technology exchange, innovation cooperation, and technology trade.

“The Swiss Pavilion at CSITF is much more than an exhibition space,” said XIAO Zhen, CEO of Swiss Centers Group. “It is a platform where Swiss innovation, entrepreneurship, and expertise meet China’s dynamic market and technology ecosystem. We are eager to help create new opportunities for collaboration, investment, and sustainable growth between our two countries.”

Showcasing Swiss Innovation

The Swiss Pavilion presents a cross-section of Switzerland’s innovation ecosystem. Participants include innovation promotion agencies, research institutions, multinational companies, technology pioneers, and industry associations from the Lausanne region and beyond.

Among the exhibitors are organizations such as Biopôle, one of Europe’s leading life sciences hubs and home to around 200 companies. Other exhibitors in life sciences and medtech are Roumai Medical and Acrostak, which present breakthrough solutions in cardiovascular care, focusing on tissue-engineered vascular grafts and precision interventional devices, respectively. Leveraging exclusive research in cutaneous neuroscience, Bioressant introduces its innovative organic neuro-cosmetics solutions.

Lausanne also showcases its strengths in digital technologies and AI: FinalSpark, developer of the world’s first bio-processor based on living neurons; AlpVision, a global leader in anti-counterfeiting and traceability technologies; and Noisypeak, which applies artificial intelligence to enhance broadcast and streaming video processing.

Swiss excellence in precision engineering and industrial solutions is represented by companies whose technologies support demanding applications across a wide range of industries. LEMO offers high-reliability connector solutions tested from deep-sea to outer space environments. Sonceboz provides the “heart” of high-end machinery with its precision mechatronic drives and motion control systems. The specialty chemicals leader Sika will present its sustainable solutions for construction and industry.

Healthy living and innovation services reflect a human-centric application of technology. Visitors can explore future nutrition science with the global food giant Nestlé and experience Swiss-origin hard water softening technology for healthy hydration from ClaroSwiss.

A complete innovation ecosystem relies on top-tier education, investment, and standards. The world-renowned EHL Hospitality Business School demonstrates innovation in services and education. The international M&A advisory firm AION Advisory AG, specializing in tech enterprises, showcases its AI-powered platform and cross-border network for optimizing deal value. The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) represents the highest standards of precision and craftmanship. Finally, Innovaud and Greater Geneva Bern area (GGBA) provide one-stop support for Chinese companies seeking to establish a presence in Switzerland and access investment opportunities.

Swiss Day: Strengthening Sino-Swiss Cooperation

A key highlight of the program is Swiss Day @ CSITF on June 11, 2026, hosted by the City of Lausanne, Innovaud, and Swiss Centers. The event features official opening remarks, project launch and signing ceremonies, keynote presentations, company pitches, expert discussions, and dedicated business matchmaking sessions. With participation from leaders in government, academia, industry, and investment, Swiss Day fosters new partnerships and strengthens existing ties between Switzerland and China.

This year also marks the 10th anniversary of establishing the Innovative Strategic Partnership between Switzerland and China. The Swiss Day event showcases the fruitful outcomes of this long-standing partnership, and facilitates exchanges on future collaboration opportunities in technology, research, investment, and sustainable development.

“With Lausanne serving as International Guest City of Honor, Switzerland has a unique opportunity to showcase the strengths of its innovation ecosystem,” added Mr. Xiao. “From life sciences and advanced manufacturing to artificial intelligence and digital technologies, the Swiss Pavilion reflects the diversity and excellence that Switzerland is known for worldwide.”
