Swiss Center Shanghai welcomed a 30-people delegation from the Institute of Financial Services Zug IFZ on August 5, as part of their study tour to India and China exploring the banking and finance environment in an Asian context.

Our CEO Zhen XIAO first offered an overview on the Chinese business landscape in which he underlined the development of China Pilot Free Trade Zones (FTZ) in nurturing free trade and foreign businesses.

The group later visited to GF Machining Solutions and Steinway & Sons, both Asia Pacific headquarters located in FTZ, followed by UBS branch in downtown. At UBS, the delegation were engaged in an insightful Q&A session with UBS leaders. The discussion ranged from UBS-specific topics to general regulation environment to industry trend topics such as fintech.

The final visit was to Napa Wine Bar & Kitchen where Philippe Huser, CEO & Founder shared his success story in China. The program ended with a relaxing cocktail reception.
