Swiss Center Shanghai, with the support of SwissCham Shanghai, swissnex China and the University of St. Gallen, is pleased to invite you to the 2nd edition 2018 Roundtable on Sino-Swiss Free Trade Agreement, on Tuesday, 13 November, 2018.
Over a 100 million CHF worth of savings on customs duties were realized in 2017, for both Chinese and Swiss companies, according to a recently released Sino-Swiss Free Trade Agreement – 2018 Academic Evaluation Report by the Sino-Swiss Competence Center. Owing to the Sino-Swiss Free Trade Agreement (SSFTA), these significant amounts are expected to increase in the year 2018 and beyond.
Last year the SSFTA Roundtable gathered a delegation of 32 from the Swiss business community and Shanghai government authorities together in dialogue. Through open dialogue, the Swiss companies were provided pertinent feedback on the most pressing problems they face with securing the preferential rates on qualified exports.
This year delegates from Shanghai Customs Bureau and Professor Tomas CasasiKlett from the University of St. Gallen will attend the roundtable. We hope that this roundtable will offer each Swiss company the opportunity to present their main challenges to the panel for discussion and troubleshoot.
